In this exhibition, Sabine Pelzmann shows bodies entwined in themselves and in the world, searching for themselves in their surroundings themselves in their surroundings.
She shows the dance of our lives - with ourselves, with people and with the world around us. For the sculptor Sabine Pelzmann, our body is an important organ of perception; with our body we perceive ourselves and everything around us. The history of our lives is engraved in our body memory. The body has absorbed joy and pain and stores these feelings and experiences for us.
The conscious and the unconscious meet in the body. We see, recognise, feel and hear with our bodies.
Our body is, so to speak, described during our lives and absorbs all our experiences: tender touches, loving voices, atmospheres of fear, experiences of violence, rocking and singing bedtime songs. The appropriation of the world, the incorporation of the world, but also the nesting in the world is something that does not happen to the body, but takes place as a reciprocal creative process.
